Siggraph Asia – Computer Animation Festival Preview Video

The first edition of the SIGGRAPH Asia Computer Animation Festival illuminates a new horizon of animation and visual effects from around the world.

The Computer Animation Festival features an Electronic Theatre and an Animation Theatre. A very popular feature of the SIGGRAPH conference for many years, the Electronic Theatre offers some of the world’s most remarkable work selected by a distinguished international jury. In addition, works presented in the Electronic Theatre are eligible for festival awards. The Best of Show and Jury Awards will be announced during SIGGRAPH Asia 2008. The Animation Theatre showcases an intriguing collection of achievements in all genres of animation and visual effects.

Siggraph Computer Animation Festival Award Revealed, Also Trailer Of Entries Now Released !!!

The SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival award has been revealed. Meats Meier has created and presented his Animation Mother creation which will be widely visible during the Festival and throughout SIGGRAPH, being staged in Los Angeles from August 11th to 15th.
The Computer Animation Festival is evolving into a full-scale film festival featuring curated and competition screenings; discussion panels with filmmakers, artists, and producers; a full day of 3D panels, presentations, and screenings; and an awards evening celebrating the artists’ accomplishments. Events will be held at both the brand new Nokia Theater and at the Los Angeles Convention Center alongside the rest of the conference.
